Về bút lực, ta cảm nhận được sức mạnh của sơn vuột ra khỏi cọ, vồ lấy nền toan. Về kịch tính thị giác, một lớp sơn chưa đủ, họa sĩ còn chồng lên nhiều lớp khiến màu sắc ẩn hiện, tạo ra chiều sâu huyền ảo, khiến ta muốn biết “cái gì bên sau”. Anh dùng đường nét một cách rất chừng mực, như những gạch nối giữa các mảng màu, như những sợi thần kinh đan xen trong một não bộ màu. Toàn thể bức tranh là một dòng thác của màu chảy vào màu, nét nhập vào nét, sơn che lấp sơn. Có thể nói họa sĩ đã nhập vào sắc màu. Nó không đòi hỏi một tư tưởng nào được cài cắm. Bức tranh không nói về tự do, vì chính nó đã biểu thị (làm hiện ra) sự tự do. Và đó chính là tinh thần của Trừu tượng biểu hiện của Trần Hải Minh.

He uses lines sparingly, like connecting points between color blocks or nerve fibers in a colorful brain. The overall composition is like a cascading waterfall of colors merging into one another, where brushstrokes blend, and paint covers paint. It can be said that the artist becomes one with the colors, as his paintings do not require any preconceived ideas. The artwork does not speak of freedom because it embodies freedom itself. This is the spirit of Abstract Expressionism of Trần Hải Minh.
